Casillas , won the 2010 Golden Glove Award for the tournament's best goalkeeper, was born on 20 May 1981 in Móstoles, Madrid. His full name isÍker Casillas Fernández. Casillas is a World Cup-winning Spanish football goalkeeper who plays for the Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid and serves as captain for the Spanish national team. As captain of the national side, he led a young Spanish team to their first European Championship in 44 years, his first senior international honour. In 2010, he captained the national team that won Spain's first ever FIFA World Cup.
